How we calculate

Litres a month = daily distance ÷ fuel economy (km per litre) × driving days. If you qualify for the subsidy, litres within your monthly limit are counted at the subsidised price and the rest at the pump price. The monthly limit is shared between RON95 and diesel, so if you use both, add their litres together.

The prices and monthly limit in this calculator come from the Fuel prices hub and are updated every week.

Example

The result shown before you change anything is a worked example: 40 km a day, 12 km per litre and 22 driving days a month, at this week's prices.

Assumptions & limits

Actual fuel use varies with traffic, load and driving style. The calculator does not account for the RM250 limit per transaction or the extra limits for e-hailing drivers and pickups. Official eligibility and remaining limits are only at www.budimadani.gov.my.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't the subsidised price change every week?
